This is a Lament Configuration replica with an actual mechanism, a dial that spins freely to unlock the box that cannot be separated and remains in one piece while transforming it to the star formation and even features a hard mode that unlocks the other dial.
The Lament has a locking system inside, the 2 dials at the top and bottom need to be in a specific position to close or open the puzzle...
When it is closed either in cube or star position it can be locked by turning one of the dials and it will only open in the correct position. This is called the "easy mode" and it's kind of fun already...
But if you are up for a challenge the box has an optional "hard mode" that you can activate (instructions will be included). Without giving too much away, to lock it turn the top dial 180 degrees before turning the bottom dial to engage the "maze" mechanism. Entering the maze is deceptively easy, escaping not so much.
Please note, solving the puzzle with the maze mechanism activated is very hard and the activation of the maze mechanism cannot be undone, be aware.
Thanks to the 3D printing technology and Troy Mackay's genius design all parts are printed in place.
The Box -including the maze lock mechanism- is one system and cannot be taken to pieces.

This prop is 3D printed and made of PLA, a sourced-from-nature recyclable plastic.
Post-processed, primed, and painted with great care and attention to the details.
Painted with acrylic paint with a final strengthening clear coat.

Absolutely amazing display piece and functional cube so true and perfect to the Hellraiser franchise. Had a lot of fun fiddling and messing around with it, now it sits on a shelf alongside my horror busts. Unconfirmed if it summons demons but I don’t care, I’d love to host a party!
